CURRENT:This is the text for the main part Session 1. Venca Will Die Like a Bitch campaign. The party is summoned to Lord Neverember one morning at his villa. It is not a very impressive villa. We are led into an audience chamber and he is talking to three priests of Oghma. Terrible events afoot he says, four prominent citizens have been apparently kidnapped in the last 10 day. Elden Keyward (knowledge scholar of the outer planes) mid 20s hippish; Indreena Lamsensettle (human actress, well known in socialite) early 20s dark hair, huge tracts of land; Sarcelle Malinosh (sorcerer female, human) mid 20s darker skin from the south; Umberto Noblin (gnomish historian on the deities) Trail ends at a Hallix mausoleum in the Neverdeath Graveyard. The party decides to visit the graveyard. It is a very nice graveyard, for the rich and well connected. Most of the mausoleums are against the wall that divides the main graveyard from the Paupers graveyard. Its a squat unassuming building. A broken rusty chain holds together two metal doors. THe chain was broken with the use of a metal bar. The doors open quite easily and make no noise as they open. The entry chamber is 20x25 and its dark inside. The east and west walls have three stone coffins each, lids askew. They have been opened recently (last 10 days). All are empty. The floor is stone, but has not been kept up in a while. There are stairs are the end of the chamber and it goes 10ft down. There is a room at the bottom that contains 5 undead creatures as detected by Six and Kelemvors Light. There is a fight, Lyanan, frightens four of them into a corner. Six takes out the other one as his weapon fucks up a wight. Everyone is impressed as he splits it open with his light bringing sword. All the wights are dead. Asher the Extraordinary finds a secret hallway behind one of the empty sarcophagus in the room. The door at the end of the hall opens quietly again. Weird that the doors are so silent. It opens into a small room that has pipes running in all directions. There is another door in this room. It opens into a 15x20 room with more pipes along the ceiling as well as knobs. There is liquid running through the pipes and they are cold to the touch. Another door at the end of this room. This opens into a huge room 35x35 with multiple hallways. There is raised 2ft area in the center of the room 25x25, a deep stone basin filled with water. The water is up to the top and pipes along the ceiling are dropping into the water. There are creatures swimming in the water, possibly 8ft in length. They turned some of the knobs and decided to turn the water off, but not completly. we decide to back track and take another way around. We go back to the wight room and go west into another 35x45 room. THe se corner is collapse and three stone doors to the north. The middle door has a new chain and new padlock. The ceiling is 15ft high and there is a 5x5 balcony up a flight of stairs. The room is covered in symbols of Vecna. A hand with an eyeball in the middle. Six begins defacing the eyes on the wall. he stops to allow Asher to listen at the middle door. He hears nothing. We check the right side door and it open into a small room with a grate in the middle of the floor. There are papers and a small golden harp at the bottom of the three foot deep pit. We pull the papers up and now Kell decides to use mage hand to tie a rope through it and then they pull it up. The papers include a map and plans detailing how to kidnap Indreena. Not good. She knows stuff and the pages document that her 'knowledge will make a worthy sacrifice' and she knows secrets about Lord Neverember. Now we try the door on the left. It opens into a storeroom of new and current goods. Its nothing but breakfast food. Kelemvor approves of maple syrup. We are having pancakes in the morning. We are taking every thing since we have 6 bags of holding between us. The heaviest things are 10 sets of chains, and 5 sets of manacles (all locked without keys). Asher checks the middle door for locks and has to knock it open. There is a coffin on platform with the lid is off. There appears to be someone hiding in the coffin. We see hair and robes. It is Sarcelle Malinosh (sorcerer female, human) mid 20s darker skin from the south. She is hungry and we offer her Goodberries. She had visions, a desiccated floating spirit (possibly Vecna) followed by the unmaking of the world and the prime material plane. She lost her wild mage powers when the visions ended. She lost her connection to the Weave a little more than 11 days ago as she was researching at the temple of Oghma. We try the steps in the room up to the 5x5 balcony and then leads into a 15ft hallway and then down at steep 20ft stairs. Into a 15x20 room that appears to be passing under into the Paupers side of the graveyard. There is a door on the far side. In the middle of the room hanging from the ceiling there are 4 bells. Bells are brass, steel, pewter (smaller), copper bell. They are hanging from the ceiling. We can avoid the bells and try to open the door on the far side. Asher checks the door for locks and traps and leads to stairs going up to a landing above a 30x40 room. Its only 5ft above the floor level and it opens into a cafeteria like area. Kell tries to intimidate the five people in the room by yelling "Kneel or DIE!!". It appears they did not fall for it as combat begins. The combat opens with an Asher fireball. The big baddie responds with a COne of Cold. Let the games begin! Kell comes down from the landing and out into the hall, heading straight for the big baddie and pulls a bunch of Vengeance Paladin shit. Six wipes out another guy with a successful acrobatic check on the slippery ground and a slicing blow. Cantrip changed into one of his other forms, Topaz Roughcutter. The final cultist tried to escape out a door and down the stairs, but Kell cut him down like the bitch he was. More people enter the room and Six is commanded to attack Asher, but fails. The party begins to attack those schmoes. Cantrip turns into a high elf female, what the eff. THe party mops up and clears the space. Looting begins. RULINGS: POSSIBLE GAME TITLES: SKETCH IDEAS |
